PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

During site migration to and updated Drupal (CMS) platform my responsibilities included:

  • Quality control of WL Gore’s English, German, Spanish, Brazil and Spain sites,
  • Helping to develop a translation protocol for the translation of the English site to German.
  • Making sure the proper meta data was entered for all pages for SEO.
  • Assuring that the new responsive site was operating correctly on mobile devices.
  • Creating higher resolution images for retina display and creating a site wide database of
    images to be recreated or updated for the global sites

As a Digital Production Coordinator, I work with the Digital Marketing Team to implement website updates, create new website content, develop new website landing pages and editing and creating projects in the project cue according to business priority. Utilizing CMS’s (Content Management System’s) such as Drupal and Oracle to manage Gore.com’s domestic and foreign sites. Editing, updating and creating webpages utilizing mark up languages HTML and CSS in Notepad ++ to manage and edit Elixirstrings.com’s domestic and foreign sites. Also utilizing programs like Dream Weaver, Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Illustrator to create and extract (form PDFs, In Design files and web) images for high resolution (144 dpi) for retina display as well as low resolution (72 dpi) images.  Developing spread sheets to managing multiple projects simultaneously and conducting QA of all of the companies websites and YouTube videos for SEO and insuring the proper meta data is added. Working in a team environment collaborating with multiple teams and Marcom associates, product specialists both domestic and foreign to make sure the proper content is available on each site.

As an Art Director, I designed email promotions, brochures, logos, book covers, direct mail correspondence, CD covers, book layouts, business cards and business letterhead to create high visual impact marketing and informational material utilizing a combination of Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator. I applied my design knowledge and creativity while developing and/or editing websites utilizing a combination of Photoshop, HTML, CSS and some Java script for Trailblazers Inc, also making sure the site is SEO (Search Engine Optimized). I have extensive experience developing professional, low cost digital, vinyl and signage printing and understand the need to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. I am particularly proud of my time spent developing workbooks and training materials for the Verizon corporate staff.
As the Art Director for Word of Faith Christian Center, I created brochures, logos, book covers, direct mail correspondence, CD covers, billboards and transit signs and branding for marketing collateral and television programming utilizing a combination of Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator and Final Cut Pro. I effectively marketed the organization on the web by creating and maintaining an interactive website with MP3 download ability, podcasts, social media links and constantly streaming news and information relevant to the organization. I helped the Center build new and innovative methods of marketing utilizing email flyers, newsletters, video productions and online presentations. I served and the director and editor for weekly audio/video presentations promoting upcoming events.
While working freelance, I helped various clients translate mental visions into high impact marketing material such as brochures, CD/DVD covers, web banners and mini flyers that captivated the viewers and sparked interest in the products or organizations. I also worked on teams within the companies to help conceptualize new and innovative ways to capture their target audiences
During this time, I was fortunate enough to work for three excellent companies.

As an employee of US Restaurants, I served as project manager while developing “region specific” marketing techniques for 43 Burger King franchises. I Designed point-of-purchase marketing promotions for each site’s Burger King signage and traveled from site to site to collaborate with the restaurant managers on promotional ideas.

While working at Beach Advertising, I was responsible for conceptualizing and developing ads, (newspaper and magazine ), banners, posters, brochures and logo designs for many local organizations. I Performed monthly design services for The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, The University of Pennsylvania, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transport Authority (SEPTA), The African American Civil War Museum, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals to name a few. I supervised the administration of design and production responsibilities given to freelance graphic designers brought in to help with over flow projects while completing various design projects myself.

Working at Hart, Hanks & DiMark gave me the opportunity to develop brochure, newsletter and catalog designs as well as special promotions. I finalized proofing for all designs from Art Directors before going to the printing press print. I helped create unique marketing materials while collaborating with art directors and writers in a team environment.

I serving my country in the US Marine Corps in an infantry battalion as an 81 mm mortarman. Some of my key moments during my military career was fighting in Desert Shield / Desert Storm, as a Private I served as squad leader to higher ranking Marines during a Battalion Inspection and being meritoriously promoted to Private First Class, Lance Corporal and Corporal. I have I ended my commitment as a Corporal (E-4) and was honorably discharged in December, 1993.
